Why can't people be more like you Jesus?
Why can't they be true? Why do they hurt
One another? It hurts to hurt.
If they were more like you; marriages wouldn't
Die, children wouldn't cry, women wouldn't be
Battered, hearts wouldn't be tattered.
Teach us how to love, teach us how to care, teach
Us how to share, teach us how to bear one another's burdens.
I know people are tired of hurting, I know people
Are tired of searching. Don't let them give up, give them strength and fill their cup; they are hurting and they choose everything but you.
Help them Lord to choose you, to choose life. Then they will see how to stop the hurting, how to stop the crying, and how to stop the senseless dying.
Deuteronomy 30:19; I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
