Knowing Godís Heart through a Special Childís Eyes
The days were starting to get shorter and cooler, in the fall of nineteen-eighty-five, when my oldest daughter Cyndy, entered this world six weeks early. Being born early, she had several medical problems with her body being premature and tiny. Her heart and lungs were just too weak to support her premature body.
In the first few hours after her birth, she was having difficultly with her lungs being too immature, to support her breathing. She was placed on oxygen, where it was forced into her lungs. Her premature birth didnít help her heart any. With her being born early, caused the heart to be over worked, and to become enlarged along with other medical problems that came along with premature births.
Our prayers had been continuous for Cyndy long before she was born. We had dedicated our precious little baby girl to the Lord, when we first found out we were pregnant with her. Our heartfelt prayers through out the pregnancy were to let her be a testimony and a servant for the Lord. We prayed constantly that people would see Christ in this cherished little baby from the time she was born.
An angel came to earth, that very fall night and was born to Mark and me. In her very short life, here on earth, she couldnít do many things, yet she had touched our lives, where we knew she was one of Godís very special children. She worked relentlessly to accomplish things you and I would take for granted yet to her, she didnít know the difference. She was exceptionally content and happy with what the Lord had given her.
When I held this tiny little girl for the first time, she had an angelic look on her face that I knew the Lord had heard our prayers and would use her to farther His kingdom. Christ never promised us that she would walk this earth for a long time, her walk was short, but not too short for she touched the hearts of her doctors.
Her heavenly innocent smile was extremely contagious; a little angel dust would be sprinkled on whomever she would meet in the passing by. She would give kisses to any and everyone she would see, whether she knew them or not. Cyndy didnít care what lifestyle you came from whether you were rich or poor she loved you, for just the person God had made you to be for in her eyes God had made us all the same.
Her bright blue eyes would sparked and glisten, when she would glaze into your eyes. To look in her eyes you could see them dancing with the love of the Heavenly Father, for she didnít know any love but pure love, of the Heavenly Father from above.
Cyndy appeared not to be discontent with not be able to speak; therefore she was still able to commune with her Heavenly Father, whenever she wanted. She gave the impression, that she was more in tune with The Lordís majestic voice, in the still of the early morning.
She made her wants known by simple gestures that I somehow I always knew what she wanted. Only the Lord could have lain on my heart what she was asking for. People would ask me time after time, what was she trying to say and I would look her in the eyes, and know instantly what she was asking for. Only Godís chosen Momís would be instilled with looking Godís special child in the eyes, and know what is much needed.
For eleven years, one of Godís special angels walked among this earth, she blessed our lives with love, joy, peace, and laughter. As quickly and quietly, as she came into this world she left it, replacing happiness with sadness, and tears, for an angel has gone home.
