Jewel of Hope --
A night long ago, amongst the desert sand
life thronged round the town of Bethlehem.
With so many gathered, no room to be found
in the country inn or in the heart’s of men.
A shimmer, a glimmer of celestial light
to herald the arrival of a heavenly sight,
true promise to all that peace was near-
Our Savior was born, that night so dear.
A tiny treasure amongst the straw strewn
a jewel with facets that were the hopes of men.
Sweet peace for the hurt and rest for the weary
can be found in the grace of this Christ Child.
Star of David --
In a far away land,
in a long ago time
a child came with a star.
A heavenly marker
for His earthly arrival,
to prove the presence of
that Savior in the stable-
the Light of the World!
Easter Morn --
Daylight fades to dark shades
Yet dawn will come again,
and with its light-
rays from heaven bright
bringing a risen King.
