I learned again just the other day of the riches beyond compare that can bless you along your way.
You were unexpectedly at home, instead of leaving early in the morn, while still in bed I lay.
We took a ride in the van, leaving the neighborhood behind, grabbing a biscuit along the way, off to see what we could find.
The road wound in gentle curves and sharp, going from four lanes to three to two, and the sun shone in, lighting up the joy that I felt to spend these moments with you!
We talked a little, you showed me the sights, pretty houses along the way, flowers in bloom, the grass in the yards so green, the beauty of spring on display.
I saw the house where you had been spending so much of your time, and saw the results of the skills you have, giving the interior such polish and shine.
Then we rode tow blocks and stopped and walked a ways in the sand, through an opening to where the ocean lay, its gentle waves stroking the land.
I love the ocean and watching the waves come in endless succession onto the beach, reminding me of all the waves of grace that let us know God is never out of reach.
The sun threw out light-diamonds on the waves, sparkling atop each wave, putting on a display of grandeur and beauty, pouring peace into my heart as I gazed.
Standing there with your am around me, the joy I felt knew no bounds, for I know the riches I have surrounding me come from the love that with you I have found.
Standing there on the sand in this beautiful place, my heart sent up a silent "thank you" to my Father above for this gift of love, for with you I live my dream come true!
