My precious baby girls,
Dressed in your cozy pj's,
I hope you are fast asleep
Dreaming of sunny days!
Stars twinkle in the sky,
Did the cow jump over the moon?
The little dog is laughing,
Have you seen the running spoon?
The sky is not so black
For the moon is shining bright,
The wind is whirring round and round
Trying to chase away the night.
Mama is hard at work
Wishing she were home with you,
To give you a sweet good night kiss
To hug and tickle you, too!
So sleep well my angels-
Morning will be here soon!
Then I'll sleep the day away
Until the afternoon!
When sunrise starts to peek,
I'll give a gentle shake,
To start your day anew-
You have to be awake!
God is watching over us
His faithfulness is true,
Remember Mama loves you all
And loves your daddy, too!
