I hope that my funeral takes place on a sunny day
and my loved ones smile through their tears.
I hope that the joy of my going home
calms their grievances and their fears.
Some might call me “morbid” and say
“Don’t speak of the grave and your own passing.”
But death holds no sting for me.
In fact, the thought leaves me joyfully laughing.
For Tia, I know I’ll see you there,
and all my loved ones who’ve passed before.
Already, I see you standing there,
holding wide open heaven’s door.
It’s raining today, Tia Lucy,
though another angel found her way home.
Perhaps the Lord is crying tears of joy,
as He embraces one of His own.
Powerful heartwarming and inspiring words to comfort the hurting and to encourage those who are waiting one day to see family and loved ones in Heaven on glorious day.
Beautifully written,Joyce!!!

Hey Joyce, this is such a beautiful tribute to your Tia Lucy. She must be an extraordinary woman of God that's very close to your heart. Praying for your strength and comfort during this time of your loss. Yes, even mourning can turn into joy when we have eternal hope in Christ. Love, Gloria
He knows all our sorrows. Beautiful heart-touching (breaking) lesson on dealing with the inevitible first death. My soul mourns for those who mourn, but I know that they will be comforted. God bless. In my prayers, Christian
