I just came from a regional church women's conference. God meant for me to go. I needed it. My husband called it a retreat, and I told him it wasn't a retreat, because I didn't spend the night. Then, one of the speakers called it a retreat. She said that any event that we have for the purpose of getting away and focusing on our relationship with God or our caling to His ministry is a retreat.
I was so blessed by each of the speakers and the praise and worship leader. I had become frustrated in my efforts to coordinate women's ministry events in our church, and thought that I didn't want to do it anymore. Today, I heard that if we are a Christian woman in a church, we are suppose to minister to other women. Women need women friendships. I need women friendships. I need Bible study, accountability partners, fun and fellowship.
At this conference, God spoke to me about all areas of my life; my relationship with Him; Godly relationships with others; and my calling to Women's Ministry and Girl's Ministry and reaching the next generation for Him.
I had to leave just before the commitment time, to go to my son's basketball game. I am making my recommitiment to the Lord to do what He asks me to do for women's and girl's ministries now. I pray that God will equip me and others to join together to minister to others for His glory and His kingdom.
Titus 2
