I sat last night making a new bead, actually a bead made out of beads, and as I worked, it occurred to me that how it was made had a lesson for me.
It was made of two kind of beads, one tiny round and the other long and slim, and it took three sets of each in a row to make a circle round a ring.
That was all there was, the simplest of designs, but when it was complete it twisted round and round, making a flowing diagonal design in a circle without beginning or end.
It made me think that each day we have is a circle given us by God, and though it is beautiful in its own right, we add to it to make it our own.
We can embellish our circle with bright things or sad, but the design will not be complete for me, until I've put things together in threes, then it will be lovely to see.
For each round made could be an hour, and one set of beads is me, the second set is you, my love, and the third set is Jesus in the lead.
In each round bead are all our words of love, the caring touches the little things we do, and the long slim beads are God's grace and forgiveness for all the stumbles we make along the way.
When each day is done, we've come back to the beginning, our design for these hours is now complete, and no matter how much we have done for each other, God's love is what makes the pattern so sweet.
I thank God for the lessons He gives me each day in the tiniest thing that I do, to remind me of all the blessings I have in my life, for the wonder of the love I have in you.
