The year seems to have taken on wings to fly! I wonder...are your expectations coming to pass?
Or is your heart weary and too tired to make
another attempt at life? - You feel you've made
too many mistakes, and now it's too late to make
amends. Being a Christian seems to be a heavy
load, and going back to 'the world' is not so
One thing the devil just enjoys doing is to give us a load of condemnation to carry. When we condemn ourselves for our sins or shortcomings instead of crying to God for mercy, we rob ourselves of the peace of God and the boldness to ask Him for anything. The tendency is for us to feel too unworthy to invite Him into our situation.
Well, that's a trick of the devil! God does not condemn us when we sin. Sure, He rebukes us, but remember that His rebukes are for those He loves. Refuse to withdraw into yourself and yield to despair because you heard something that reminded you of that weakness you've been trying to overcome.
God desires that we should come to Him with boldness to ask for grace in our time of need, no matter what we have done wrong. We should be bold in approaching Him not because we are proud of our sin, but because His love for us does not diminish because of our wrongs, and because with Him there is mercy and forgiveness. If you don't ask, you can't receive.
The tough circumstances you are going through may or may not be as a result of something you did wrong. But whatever the case may be, God invites you today to come to Him with boldness to obtain mercy and to find the grace that you need to help you at this time. He will not turn you away.
Let your heart be filled with faith and hope in your heavenly Father as the months fly by, knowing that what He sees ahead is His finished work in you. You know, buildings in construction seldom ever look good. So if things don't look too good around you now, cheer up! Hold on to Him for mercy and grace and see what He'll make of you.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
