Whiter Than Snow
By Sharon Smith
A few years ago we enjoyed a flock of wild turkeys in our neck of the woods. We always knew it was the same flock because of the two white ones with the group. We often wondered whether they were albino or crossed with a tame one. They stood out like a sore thumb. Wild turkeys are for the most part very dark.
Winter came and of course the snow arrived. While driving down the road, there was our group of feathered friends. All of a sudden those two were yellow. When compared to the pure white of the snow it brought out their true color.
Our impurities are shown for what they are when they are compared to Christ and his holiness.
“Whiter Than Snow”.
Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole
I want Thee forever to live in my soul.
Break down every idol, cast out every foe.
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
