Enjoying His Intimacy
By: Robert Schaetzle Sr.
Mary wept at the tomb that day
Thinking they took her Lord away.
Angels before her saw her weeping
They knew her Savior was not sleeping.
“O woman, why are you in such despair
Whom are you seeking?” the angels asked
“Sir” she said to him, supposing the gardener
“Lead me to Him, I’ll take Him away”
“Mary” cried her Lord from behind
“Teacher” she cried eyes now open, not blind
Clinging steadfast to her Lord that day
Wanting her Savior never to stray
“I must ascend to My Father and your Father
But the Comforter I leave with you”
“My love, my care, I leave with you, forever
My intimacy, will never part, no, not ever”
Mary found such joy, her heart swelled that day
Her Savior was not taken, faith renewed to stay
For us the same, a Savior risen, not stole from us
His presence to guide, lasting hope, to trust
Never left alone, or in despair
His intimacy, ever present, ever secure
