Nations are made up of individuals, and as individuals we hope to have certain freedoms and rights along with the power to enforce them. So in response, I'm not sure how you can trivialize something as important as Pro-Life and call it a "Hot Button"? When we can callously sacrifice the unborn for the sake of industry and sit comfortably in Church next Sunday, we have embraced the height of hypocrisy. God is not mocked, this nation will reap what it sows.
You obviously have some issues with the Republican party, not that there's anything wrong with that. I try not to get too involved in Politics but unfortunately too many Christians feel the same way, then when our freedoms are threatened we cry and wail and put on our Martyr hats and feel special about ourselves. Bible knowledge has never been a guarantee for wisdom, maturity or some special spiritual insight, history will verify that all day, every day.
The Republicans did not make Clinton immoral, his choices did. And yet, the Republicans are just as guilty as you & I. The problem with our elected officials is not based on political posturing and blame, its on the fact that we have driven God from our nation, our schools and our homes. Jesus has become politically incorrect. We live in a fallen and corrupt world where evil men rule & reign with extreme prejudice. The radical Muslim world views you & I and our children as the Great Satan and have no qualms about cutting off our heads, giving thanks to Allah and sitting down to some Lamb & yogurt. This is a war that has raged since the garden, they are the sons of Isaac & Ishmael, the war of good vs evil and it will not end until Jesus comes in all His glory and destroys the works of Satan and casts him into Hell.
There is another issue as big as the sanctity of human life and that is Israel. Hamas & the Palestinian charter express that they will not rest until Israel is driven into the sea....as well as the destruction of Judeo-Christianity. I will stand by Israel till the bitter end, if all forsake her then I will stand alone. Is she perfect? Heck no! Thats why we need a Cross. Revelations states very clearly that God will defend her when ALL nations stand against her, unfortunately that includes America. Someday this nation will turn on the chosen people of God and then look up, for our redemtion draweth nigh.
This debate & struggle will not end with a new face in the White House. Mark my words, the war on terror has just begun and the freedoms that you & I enjoy will be threatened in a way that will make courageous men tremble.
To judge is to pronounce sentence and have the full authority to execute that sentence. Do we really have that ability? The Bible says to fear God for He is the only one who can cast us from His presence into eternal darkness. We may have the power to kill, but only He has the power to judge.
Having a cause is honorable and brings purpose to our lives. Having the RIGHT cause is what will save us and reaps ETERNAL rewards.
Worry more about people’s lives and how you can heal their hearts, not their governments.
