Wahba - "The Beautiful Effect"
Modern Worship
Rating-9.60 (scale of 1-10)

Wahba is both an Independent Christian artist and worship leader. This release, "The Beautiful Effect," is the follow up to his 2004 debut release, "Proskyneo."
Wahba says that, "God seems to have made everything better on this record, from songwriting to production quality to my abilities as a singer and musician. He's given me the opportunity to improve on all of them!"
Wahba also served as the primary songwriter and producer for the album that is conceptual in style with the first six songs being classified as, 'The Beauty' part and the next seven classified as the, 'The Effect' part.
The two different concepts are pulled together by the modern chant interlude, "Stay with Me-(Bleibet Hier)" that is commonly sung at contemplative services in Taize, France.
The beauty songs consist of upbeat modern pop/rock hymns that deal with themes of God's impact on our lives. They are filled with big guitar sounds and banging percussion parts.
The effect songs are more melodic, mellow, worship that deals with our response to God and trying to give back our love to Him.
Overall this is a great release both musically and lyrically. The first six songs had my heart pumping with their driving beats. While the last
seven songs put me into more of an introspective deep thinking mode.
