When my gift to You I bring
Is it worthy of a King?
Please don't cast it to the side
Like a useless weed or clay.
But accept it as a token
Of my love, though weak and broken.
A wilted daisy from a child
At the start of this new day.
Lord, like Hannah I will bear
What I hold so close and dear
My priceless treasures, hoarded dreams
Humbly to your feet I bring.
Trusting that my gift You'll prize
A love offering You'll not despise.
With your loving touch transform it
As my heart begins to sing.
As my gift to you I bring
Something worthy of my King
You won't cast it to the side
Like a useless weed or clay.
You accept it as a token
Of my love sincerely spoken
A precious daisy from your child
At the start of this new day.
Lord, I want to bring my best.
Something more then just what's left.
All that's precious in my heart
In devotion brought to You.
As You see beyond the gift
My intents and thoughts You sift
May you find a heart devoted
Love sincere and wholly true!
