You will fail! I guarantee it! Keep doing it your way and nothing will change. Try God! In him there is no defeat. Only victory awaits you in His will.
I believe failure to be a product of our disobedience. As long as we neglect to do all things in line with the Word of God, there can be no real assurance that we will achieve our goals.
Lets look at a great leader in the bible. The first chapter in the book of Joshua is an awesome example of what we can accomplish in the will of God.
Joshua 1:1-2 says this- “Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel.”
We can see a great change took place concerning the people of God. They experienced a great loss with the death of Moses. They were dependent upon his leadership and connection to God Almighty, and when he died I’m sure they felt they could not go on.
Many times we experience great losses in our walk with God. I’m sure you can think of something during your relationship with Christ that brought forth tears, frustration, pain, confusion, doubt, and even caused you to question the Lord’s will for your life. I know I can.
You may be in this great valley of indecision as we speak, but God wants you to be reassured this moment. Know that although these losses have been great, they were not failures. They were set in order and necessary for God to use as a tool of preparation that will cause you cross over into your Jordan.
Sometimes thing have to die in order for you to get to the next level, the next depth, the next blessing, the next anointing, or the next assignment.
In the book of Joshua the people of God could not cross over into Jordan until Moses died. They could not be blessed until they experienced loss. The first sentence in verse two makes this plain, “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan.”
In Deuteronomy 32:48-52 God prepared Moses for his death:
“And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, [unto] mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, that [is] over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
Yet thou shalt see the land before [thee]; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.”
As long as Moses continued to live the people could not receive the promise of God.
My friend, God has not failed you, nor has he left you. His will at times can challenge our emotions and our way of thinking, but I assure you that God knows what is best for you and I. He knows what it will take to prepare us for victory. He knows what will propel us into the promise land.
Be encouraged. Where there is loss there is great gain. Where there are tears of sadness, joy will follow. In times of temptation a window of escape is always opened. The frustrations of life shall be swallowed by the peace of God. By faith and obedience we can overcome doubt and fear.
I’ve come to believe that in Christ there is no failure, only levels of preparation.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
