Alright people, here comes another book to leave you all speechless with its beauty of language, simplicity and the basic theme. So, the latest in my hit list happens to be ‘The Namesake’ by Jhumpa Lahiri. Ever bothered to ponder upon the importance of your name in your life?? Maybe not, even I haven’t but the namesake will act as a perfect eye opener. Talking about the story, nothing so extraordinary…an Indian guy takes birth, gets nurtured and spends his whole life away from his own country, gets adapted well to that environment, that culture with a name that is too special for his parents but sort of embarrasses him. See, it’s too simple to interpret but it is its simplicity only that makes this book so unputdownable. What will leave you most fascinated is its climax. Once you finish the book, you’ll be forced to think over the whole matter for at least fifteen minutes. Lahiri successfully manages to end her efficient work in a manner that is incredibly well. With your eyes dug deep into this amazing novel, you’ll realize the position of the emotions and sentiments in one’s life. So, check it out and you will then definitely tend to agree with me.
