My father-in-law was 30 years old when he got a
really good job at a dairy farm. It came with a
house for him and his family. They also could
have all the milk and eggs they wanted.
They had five kids, my husband being the oldest,
so getting extra milk and eggs helped out a
great deal.
Everything was looking up for them.
One day they were going to Muskogee, OK and
the car broke down, leaving them stranded
50 miles from home. A man, who was a preacher
stopped and gave them a ride. He asked them,
if they knew God, they told him they did, but they didn't go to church. He also told them they were on a fence and they couldn't stay there.
The next day my father-in-law went to work.
My mother-in-law asked him not to go, she said
something didn't feel right, but he went anyway.
He started plowing a field with a three piece disc, when the disc hit a tree. He stopped to see
what happened. The tractor jumped into gear and
ran over him. It cut him all up. The tractor went down the hill turned around and came back towards him and ran over him again, and once more it went down the hill and came back and ran over him for the third time. It cut his head open three to four inches deep. The tractor did the same thing again, went down the hill and was headed for him for the fourth time. He couldn't move anymore, so he called out to God and asked Him to save him, and at that moment the tractor turned away from him and ran into some trees and stayed there until it ran out of gas. It was about 104 degrees outside that day and he stayed out there all day. He called out to God again for help. God told him he would live. My father-in-law didn't know how, but he believed it.
When he was finally found they took him to
Muskogee Hospital. (He died on the way).
The third day he called out to God once more
and asked Him, "how come you are letting me
suffer so much?" Jesus then came into his room
and healed his eye and ear. My mother-in-law
was in the room when Jesus was there, but didn't
see Him, all she saw was my father-in-law
talking to someone. She came back five minutes
later and his eye was moving all around and
he could hear. He looked like a new baby.
The doctor said he wouldn't live for long.
I guess doctors don't know everything, because
he is now 64, and they had five more kids on
top of the five they had.
The doctors say he has cancer, altzmires, a
hernea, and heart disease. But that's okay,
God took the cancer from him and now it's up
to God on the rest. My mother-in-law says,
"I know God won't let him suffer, He
will take him home first," and she also says,
"I praise God everyday he is here with me and
the family and for all God has done over the
years". GOD LOVES YOU!
