Hold back the gate,
From one end to the other,
The screams of toddlers are heard,
Their majestic signs of happiness,
The amazing term is over at last,
Bringing nursery rhyme to a full-stop,
Time to recite before papa what had been taught,
To justify the regular school fees,
The wind from the south blows by,
And the biting cold from the north,
Let mama fetch the school bag just wave goodbye,
Float in the air if you can,
Pause a moment if you like,
Holiday is here once again.
