Whether you are young, middle age, or older, God has something for you to do. Both men and women, young and old. You may say, “I’m too young I can’t do anything for God.” Samuel was a small child when he was taken to the Temple and left there to live. The Bible say he ministered before the Lord, being a child (1 Samuel 2: 18). He had a vital role in bringing God’s message to the priest of that day who was lacking spiritual perception. God couldn’t reach the priest, so He spoke to Samuel and he delivered the message. God used Samuel mightily and he grew older but his service to God started when he was a child. We do not know the exact age of the three Hebrew children; Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego but they were young when they were taken away from their families. Their names were changed, and they were surrounded by different religion and culture. Along with Daniel, they clung together and said, “We are going to trust God. The time came when three men faced the fiery furnace. We can imagine, perhaps thousands of people there, following the Kings orders. When he gave an order, people did not question his authority. They did not pick up a sign and picket in protest, because their heads would have been taken off so quickly there would not have been time to get it in the news. What a difference those three young men made? How about the middle age person? Some people seem to get hung up at that point of life. Well, God knows exactly where they stand and He still has jobs and those who are of middle age. Samson made some big mistakes when he was young, but when he was little older, he did more for God than he ever had done when he was young. Oh, his middle age years, all the way to the end of his death.
