For my dear friends...Walt & Marge Brauer
Thank you Lord Ö the friend that calls
She knows that itís okay
To bare her soul and ask for help.
Her tears, Iíll wipe away.
I understand her anguish.
I recognize her pain.
I meet her at her point of need,
Like drought and summer rain.
Thereís no need to check my stance.
I know Iím not conceited.
You see, the last time things went wrong
It was her advice I needed.
So, thank you Lord for FRIENDSHIP.
I donít mind the test
Of navigating lifeís rough road
I know You know whatís best.
You gave me things I needed
To sooth another's soul.
In return, she comforts me
Just like you would. Iím whole.
Itís not that you canít do it.
I know you have the time.
You gave her understanding
Mercifully, contrasting mine.
You knew Iíd need to learn
To lean on someone else
When life gets hard to take
To not think of myself.
To wallow in self-pity
Of course, just would not do.
My friend, she loves and cares for me
Just like You always do.
In return, I care for her
I help her understand
That sheís my gift as I am hers.
Isnít our God grand?
