Way back in the beginning
Well there was a big Big Bang
Suddenly creation just let loose and sprang
What a huge explosion booming out with force
Fixing all the planets on their planetary course
Exactly how’d this happen?
How did it come about?
Did it accidentally perfectly just happen to turn out?
NO!
BASICS: Just what do I mean?
BASICS: Well it’s seeing the unseen
BASICS: What do you believe?
BASICS: Have you been deceived?
Now some scientist state the year 3 billion
All life just began
And a little one celled amoeba
Well it evolved into a man
They claim it’s undisputed
They found the missing link
But every time
it turns up wrong
And their theories go out of sync
What about the ape?
What about his origin?
There’s no missing link to link him up to modern man.
BASICS: What’s mans basic problem?
BASICS: And from what source does it stem?
BASICS: His environment the cause?
BASICS: Or has he broken God’s laws?
WELL?
Are you to open minded or have you just been blinded to the Holy Book?
Do you laugh at the Bible say 'it’s so unreliable'?
Well take a second look
BASICS: Could you ever be wrong?
BASICS: Maybe a little headstrong?
BASICS: Come on put it to the test
BASICS: Lay your preconceptions all to rest
Now that we’ve touched bases on the creation of the universe
Do you think it’s getting better? Well to me it seems much worse
All through your school years your learning’s been spoon fed
What about unanswered questions evolving in your head
Are we just an accident?
Or part of a grand design?
Better ask Jesus Christ
because your neck is on the line
BASICS: There is universal sin
BASICS: And you must be born again
BASICS: Now is the time to start
BASICS: Ask Jesus into your heart
WELL?
