He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,That brings forth its fruit in its season,Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:3 (NKJV)
Psalm 1:3 would make a glorious song verse to praise our Lord. Since I do not know the difference between notes on a scale of music from a note on a sticky pad, I will have to leave that endeavor to the professionals. However, this verse does bring to mind a beautiful scene of peace and tranquility. Imagine a sweeping Weeping Willow or a gnarly Louisiana Cypress standing majestically over its water lifeblood. The waters flowing gently by nourishing all that lies in its path. While these trees do not produce fruits we can eat, they do display the health and vitality that comes from the water. I read this passage and want to become like these trees, firmly planted by the flowing river of words of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I listen, and wait, for the fruits God has planned for me; they will come in a season He has determined. My resolve will not wither as long as I have faith, and I will prosper in the love, peace and joy that our Lord provides.
