Finally, the waiting is over, and you are now married and settling into your new life together complete with dreams for the future.
On behalf of the entire church family, I want to say a hearty congratulations to both of you as you have entered into this most holy union blessed by God from the foundation of the world itself. The Bible says in: Genesis 2:24 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."
I know that you realize Marriage is not always "goose bumps and good feelings", with no "rainy days". There will be difficult times as sure as you are reading this letter at this moment, however, we serve a God who is faithful! You will have a successful marriage as you place God first in your life and family, and keep Him at the center of all you do.
Develop the habits of praying together, attending church, and growing in the Christian faith. It is not an accident that the words were written, "the family that prays together, stays together". While this is not a scripture, the truth of the statement is undeniable.
It was a great blessing and honor to be asked to officiate at your wedding, and please rest assured that I'm available if you need anything at all, so do not hesitate to contact me.
