Far too long has my silence been
Forgotten, my thoughts from a time of when
I wrote that which my Father let me to
Following his direction in everything I do
Today the silence is broken with paper and pen
Another day shall not pass knowing my silence again
Gifts are these which I have so near
What have I done to that which is dear?
God has blessed my life in so many ways
Shouting from mountain tops should fill my days
Never lower my head to those who don't believe
Make not contracts with those who would deceive
Money is not the all that we think it to be
There are others in the world, others besides me
Greed fills our lives and we say we have no time
Yet we will fill our days with clutter chasing a dime
Waste not the talents given by our mighty Lord
For that type of waste, our souls can not afford
Wherever the Lord may lead me is where I will go
Where that place may be, I do not currently know
Rest assured that the day will soon come
When I will know his intentions, every one
Far too long has my silence been
Now, I say that it will not happen again
