It was so special last night to end one year being held in your arms, and to greet the new one with kisses of eagerness and joy, anticipating what the time ahead will bring.
It's like being given a brand new blank book, one with nothing written in it yet, and a pen with silver ink to record all the ups and the downs, for nothing in this new story has been set.
I know that every page will begin with hearts drawn across the page, because our love, like God's mercies each day are brand new, and everything to come after that will be full of joy because I get to share it with you.
I thank God in advance for giving us a new book, new times together that we will share, and wonder at all the new people we will meet, and what new places will find us there.
I am so glad that we have Jesus up ahead, and beside us making our way so
clear, and to know that whatever the new year brings along, with Him we can face it with no fear.
So on this first morning of the first day of the year, I'm still filled with joy because I know its still true, that It means I will have all these new blank pages to fill, and they'll ALL say "I love you!"
