A Savior Is Born

The Angel came to Mary and said she would bear a son.
Mary said how could this be for I haven’t been with anyone.

Joseph didn’t know what to think; the doubts filled his mind.
The Angel said the child she carries is the Son of God divine.

So they headed into Bethlehem to register as it was decreed.
There was no room in the inn and Mary was weary indeed.

They went into a lowly stable where they would spend the night.
It came time for Mary to deliver and God’s Son was born that night.

The angels told the shepherds where to find the Baby King.
They left their flocks and followed the bright star they saw shining.

The smelly stable was alight with the glow from the tiny Babe.
They went back and told the others that the Messiah was born this day.

This was such a lowly beginning for the One who came to save mankind.
Make sure you make Him you Savior just as I’ve made Him mine.

Take time this Christmas season to consider what you’ve done with your life.
If you haven’t accepted Christ as your Savior it is not too late to do it tonight.
