I walked outside this morning to a landscape covered in frost delicate white, each little blade of grass, each leaf on the ground was painted with an artist's brush so bright.
Every thing was silent, hushed and huddled inside, so still everything seemed to be, as if waiting expectantly for something to come along, that would change them and set them free.
On the return trip, something had changed, for the dull white was now covered with diamonds sparkling so bright, for the sun had peeked out and sent down its warmth, the frost changed to water drops collecting its light.
It all reminded me of how I used to be in the days before I met you, for I was all curled' up and huddled inside, for I didn't think that I had any worth, so under my covering of frost I went to hide.
I stayed that way for so long, and deep in my heart, I cried out 'is this all there is to be?' - never dreaming that Jesus would be the One to answer, and whisper gently in my ear 'I'll set you free.'
That was the day He changed the frost in my life, melting it with His amazing love for me, and out of that frost, diamonds began to appear, with all the beauty that only God could see.
He polished and shaped each facet of my life, transforming each to catch and hold His light, for if I kept Him first in my life, He would make sure that I would always be shining bright.
Then came a day when I'd come far enough, and God took all my dreams that He knew, and put them all together and gave them to me, for that was the day I met you.
Now every day the sparkle grows brighter, each moment shines with your loving care, and I can't imagine a more beautiful place to be, for wherever you are, I want to be there.
I thank God for His care, for making me brand new, for showing that He could make a diamond even out of me, and then to pour out such blessings from above, for in you I became the best that I can be.
I want to spend every waking moment, finding new words to say, new things to do, that will tell you in a thousand new ways how very much I love you!
