When old we desire to be young, when young we desire to be older. You may feel that age will bring about benefits that youth doesn't provide. God has a plan for you in your youth as well as in your adulthood. There is no need to rush through this time. In youth there is strength and endurance physically. Spiritually in our walk with God our youth is the same. When we first come to him we have a youthful desire, newness, we feel we can accomplish anything, and our desire is strong to see him move in our live. This can occur at any age however, when you are physically young and spiritually young you have a greater witness of his love. It is easier to rely and believe in Him. The favor of God is found directed toward the youth, in several instances. David was a young warrior and Samuel was dedicated to God before birth. Josiah the greatest King took the throne at eight years old and began to facilitate a reform in his kingdom to turn away from the idolatry that has plagued his people. When did he do this? Josiah started his changes eight years after he was made King, he was Sixteen years old!!!!! When you are dedicated to God it will show. You have power to take a stand. You can make righteous decisions that will affect your family, friends, and peers. Josiah was a determined young man. The mother of Jesus was a determined young maid. The list is long and the stories of young people working for God are great. We need to accomplish things for him while we can. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you're too young to accomplish something GREAT. Never get caught up in feeling that you are less that anyone because or your age. When you follow God's plan for your life He will make you effective, and prosperous in all areas of your life. Remember the future is yours.
