A Most Wonderful And Special Christmas Tree

This is the week of a most cherished Christmas memory - that will live yet again when we put up the Christmas tree.

I will sit and imagine each ornament placed with such care, one will look just right here, that one will be perfect if it's placed there.

There is no other thing that to me is more Christmas fun, than to take time dressing the tree, adding things one by one.

This year the tree came already wired with lights, so when it's put up it will already be shining bright.

Each ornament will borrow a bit of that glow, each color reflecting a message only we will know - each one is a gift of love so plain to see, making this a most wonderful and special Christmas tree.

So many glowing ornaments of red - for love that cannot be contained in any words that are said, and blue ones, richly shimmering with light, filled with joy that shines so bright, green ones reflect the hope of things yet to me, promising more wishes fulfilled and dreams coming true we will see.

Purple ornaments here, there, and everywhere, they reflect all the happiness and delight in the air, gold and silver ones sparkling in the light, like all of God's blessings that make our life so bright.

On the end of each branch hangs silvery tinsel-lace, each strand a reminder of the richness of God's grace - this tree is so much more than bits of tinsel and glass, it is full of the gifts we give one another, ones that will last.

Though the season will end, the gifts will ever be new, for they each are a different way to say "I love you" - every one a treasure sent by our Father above, to share with each other, to nurture, to grow in love.

What a joy it is to look at this shimmering tree, and see all the gifts of joy you have given to me - and I thank God for making all my dreams come true, for that's what happened when He gave me you.
