Open arms
stretching across the heavens
beckoning His children home
into His loving embrace
A permanent fixture
in the skies of time
that never fades away
deep blue hues
surround His majestic presence
The rain of tears
fall from His gentle yet piercing eyes
as He witnesses His creation
exhalting and praising
the myriad of idols
of this world
The winds blow heavily
as He sighs and grieves
over a people
lost to self-gratification
and unholy yearnings
Yet His stance remains
following closely on the heels
of His beloved
Patiently waiting for her
to turn a glance behind
and run back home
to His open embrace
that longs to cling to
a heart gone cold
that longs to warm
a meandering lifestyle
that can only wait
so long
