I ask what it is you think you may need
To get you through life, to thrive and succeed
If you tell me it's money, then I say your wrong
You see money never seems to last very long
And as far as beauty goes well just let me say
Beauty goes slowly and then fades away
And that handsome home and beautiful car
Do they represent who you really are
I say if this is what your living for
I tell you this, there is Something More
Something More precious than silver and gold
Something More lovely than any eye can behold
Something beyond, yet well within reach
Something that only The Good Lord can teach
So tell me again what you think you may need
To get you through life, to thrive and suceed
If you tell me it's family, this thought may ring true
But family may not always be there for you
And as for friends, they come and they go
Some are familiar, some you never know
And if you think it comes down to a roll of the dice
I tell you my friend, you better think twice
I say if this is what your living for
My message is clear, there is Something More
Something More precious than silver and gold
Something More lovely than any eye can behold
Something beyond, yet well within reach
Something that only The Good Lord can teach
