I've often wondered how we would all react if God were to suddenly, without calling, stop by our house! How would we react? I'd close my bedroom door! My bed is never made! But, you know what? He is there now. He sees my bed. He is in my home. Only He didn't show up without calling. I have invited Him in! Am I ingoring my guest? Are you?
Do we make Him comfortable by the company we keep? Our books, our video choices, our language? Do we invite Him, the most Holy, to dine with us, and are we behaving as if He has come to our table? He has come to your table.
He'll be there tonight as you sit down with your children. Can you hear His laughter over your children'd antics? Can you see His peaceful, loving face as He helps, yes even serves you, the meal He has given to you?
Invite Him to dine with you. Look for Him tonight at supper. Then, be yourself, the one He loves. Enjoy His company tonight, and talk to Him throughout the evening!
CELEBRATE! For tonight God is coming to your house for dinner!
