Scripture:Psalm 27:1-14
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Meditation:
The following lyrics/poems are my meditation on the two psalms above. I write these pieces in dedication to my Dad, Mr. Trieu V. Le, Baptismal Name: St. Joakim; Born: March 15, 1942 Quang Tri, Tri Buu, Vietnam. Passed: November 27, 2005 Saigon, Vietnam. “Only this I ask,
Is to know the Lord.
And to bare His cross
And to ware the crown He wore.”
When my body no longer hungers,
And my soul no longer thirsts,
When I am able to stand firm before Truth
That is when I know I’ve seen the Lord.
When my mind can understand love
Just as my heart understands love
When joy, rest, and peace
are deep, rich and constant
That is when I will have truly grasped Love.
When my spirit is dominated
and my heart is consumed
With all that is Good, Pure and Holy
When no other desire temps me
That is when the Lord’s Spirit fills me.
What other need shall I have?
What more shall I want?
