When I look in the mirror
What do I see?
Do I see the Lord?
Or the monster in me?
Behind my brown eyes
Is there anger and rage?
Am I speaking the Truth?
When I speak “Jesus Saves”?
To believe what I hear
Is to trust and apply
To live is in Christ
Help the old man to die
I’ve caused enough hurt
To loved ones caused pain
My words now mean nothing
My promises vain
Its time to take action
To walk in the Word
Apply what it breathes
Bring forth what I’ve heard
My ears now can listen
My eyes now can see
The monster is fading
I see Jesus in me…

God made something out of nothing. He can make something out of me!
