America is at war – a war against terror and destruction, but it is not a war that is fuelled by the terrorist or the terror that their minds could conceive. It is a war that is directed by forces far beyond the control of the natural mind, far beyond the control of the forces of man and weapons of mass destruction. It is a war that is controlled by the forces of darkness and a spirit of fear; this is a war that could only be won; not by a battle of physical forces but by a battle of the spirit of man through the Spirit of God.
As I have prayed for all in America after the aftermath of Katrina, I felt the Spirit of God saying, “I will be blamed for this disaster, they shall term it the acts of God.” Then as Rita approached, I heard the Spirit of God again saying, “I will intervene and control the damage but I will not prevent the it from happening.” Many will stop and ask at this point, if God is in control why didn’t He stop the destruction – I will leave the reader to answer this question after they have read this article.
You see America is at war – a war on terror, it is a war that is destined and determined to bring the American people to its knees, both literally and spiritually. It is a war with a purpose to destroy the human spirit, a spirit that was birth out of compassion for others. America is a nation that stands up for righteousness; America is a nation that defends the rights of human beings all around the world to live in freedom and liberty. America is a nation that has demonstrated the grace, compassion and mercy of God; and this is why America is at war, not only with human terrorists but with the forces of darkness as well.
America has sacrificed their sons and daughters to save the lives of others; they have sacrificed their lives so that others may live free. Many have lost their sons and daughters in the wars or uprising in other nations over the years, and may not see the justification in any of this, but God sees! He hears the cry and anguish of every parent that have lost a loved one in the giving up of their life for the sake of another. There is a greater reward than just the liberty of others; there is a greater reward than just freedom from oppression and the opportunity to live in peace. But so often we don’t look at the bigger picture, we don’t look at the overall effects of someone’s actions, we look and feel the immediate pain of the lost of a loved one.
It is time for America to reap the benefits of the sacrifices of loved ones, it is time for America to reap from God’s abundance of grace, mercy and compassion; that you have so generously shown to the world and even in your own nation, but it is also time to stem the tide of wickedness in the nation.
