We can be blessed, but don't own the goods
why, because it's of God's grace;
Not one thing we've done to earn his gifts
so lets humbly run this race
So O' Lord with every pain I have to bear
it makes me to love you more;
Whatever the afflictions that I must partake
my trust lies in you for sure
Your grace and mercy it lets me do things
that my natural flesh won't do;
It wakes me up and walks me to the door
this is what I'd do for you
I'd make you love when others refuse to-
and lets you go that extra mile;
It won't let us balk, or even turn around
but instead, it gives us a smile
O' how his love keeps kicking right in-
it's understanding, says let it go;
And that is why I say, this is what I do;
for it was I who had to know
That I have to pray and forgive all others
for they know not what they do;
Father keep filling me with your good stuff
for to help me to get through
Lord let me always wear your grace and mercy
let it be like a robe pure as gold;
So I can have patience, when I'm tried
to help me to stand bold
For it is only by grace that we stand
when the heart is not working right;
Then mercy puts out, it's hands upon us
and kick the sin out of sight
Every day of our lives it tells a story
not written pages, done with ink;
But, wrote with the steps, that we present
as we abide under the it's link
Which is the pouring down of grace and mercy
being anointed with God's love;
That will saturate, the heart and soul
as it falls from up above
So there will be some days of rejoicing
after all our hearts has bore;
We will have all that our God did promise
because, he owns every door
