"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me- watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
Matthew 11:28-30 from The Message
Why the long face
and excess baggage?
Where did those dark circles
come from
and that anger in your soul?
A deep frustration with life
with relationships
with the thorns
that continually remind us
of our human condition
He is calling
in the 'unforced rhythms of grace'
gently singing
our heart's song
a rhythmic pulsing
that springs to life
in our soul
Come away with Him
Your works
are not enough
Glide to the beat
that allows limbs to loosen
and arms to sway
dancing in His presence
twirling in His grace
that permeates the air
in which we breathe
There are no heavy burdens
to take upon your shoulders
He carries them all
A forever waltz
with the Savior of our soul
May He have the next dance?

I like the line: "He is calling
in the 'unforced rhythms of grace'
gently singing
our heart's song
a rhythmic pulsing
that springs to life
in our soul". Beautiful depth! This "song" resonates with my heart!
