When Lord? When will this stop?

Soon, my child. When it is time.

I grow faint of the cold. I am crushed as the frost. Hear my cry, O Lord. Relieve me of this suffering.

I am here. Take my hand.

I can not, Lord.

My heart dwells in the dead of night. Raging winds pursue me. My soul thirsts beneath layers of frozen pain. Help me! I long to feel – to live. I cannot move!

My child, it is but for a season. Look up! The Sun shines!

I do not see Its light – I do not feel Its warmth. Where is It?

Behind clouds of doubt – in the shadow of your tears. I am here…always

Help me Lord. I can not……

Be still my child. Rest ... in the silence of this time. I will reach you – do not fear. I will touch your heart, so it hears mine. I will cover you, with the Light of My love until you bloom once again. Your branches will be stronger, your blossoms sweeter. Your heart ablaze with praise!

I grow faint of the cold. I am crushed as the frost…….

Shhhhh, my child. Shhhhh. Sleep now and rest, as I hold your hand, as you breathe My Presence, as life renews – I am here. Be still…. and know….

Shhhhh…..shhhhhh…..I love you…I love you.

Listen now to My voice,
Hear My Words,
As you rest upon My heart,
As I stroke your brow.

‘Do not fear,
I am with you,
I am your strength,
I will help you – I will hold you.’

Lord……?

Shhhhh, my child. Shhhhh. Sleep now my precious one, as you rest upon My heart, as I stroke your brow – as you breathe My Presence.

Be still…. and know…. I am here.

Simple, yet profound. Even when we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, even when things don't make sense, He is there. Beautifully written. A gentle reminder to us all - one I especially needed today. Blessings, Lynda

Wow, I needed that today. I do hear His gentle heart beating next to mine. I do see the Hope reflected in His eyes. The pain of winter is nearing an end.

This reminds me of one of my favourite verses. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. (Is. 42:3a). I guess the problems come when we try and handle it on our own without fleeing to God, eh?! Great writing, Pat.

It is, in fact, what we all need to hear. It does speak personally to the heart of the ones who feel crushed under any of the pressures of living. One cannot help but be stilled.
