O' my dear heavenly father
I truly do love thee;
For you have been that special friend
that was always there for me
In the cold winters snow you were there
those hot summers you made your way
To my little O' dwelling, that I call home
O' you were with me every day
Whenever my little heart grew weary
you did touch me with your love;
And filled my hours, with so much joy
O' how it flowed from up above
The days when I was hungry you feed me
when thirsty, you filled my cup;
In times of despair, your arms held me
and told me not to give up
Lord you did move all my fears and doubts
when I cried, you did wipe my tears;
And whenever I was wounded you healed me
O' you was there through the years
There was times when I needed some answers
your precious word, did fill my heart;
It came on through, to show me what to do
O' what wisdom you did impart
Through the torrid rains you did shield me
you did cover me from head to toe;
O' Heavenly Father, I really do adore you
for letting my little heart know
That you will forever keep me in your love
and more grace will you supply;
O' Heavenly Father, I truly love thee
for taking time to stop by
So with a child like spirit I do thank you
for being so good to me;
My soul, does magnify, your greatness
for showing what your love can be
