Diving into
a pool
of deep reflection
The waters
cascading
and enveloping
my person
Coming up for air
I witness
the depthless ripples
stretching out
beyond who
I am today
at this very moment
What I've been
Who has touched me
to bring to life
the fullness of
My core
My existence
Inundated
with a thankful
heart
grateful beyond
mere words
Reaching out
with gentle fingers
swirling and
dancing
with the lapping waves
of yesterdays
that have
taken me
to this place
surrounded by
cool water
I embrace
the love
that buoys
me up
and allows
me to taste
the freshness
of a new day
A grace
beyond measure
poured out
to give me
New life
New love
a new opportunity
to swim through
the seas of existence
No matter
the weather
He is there
by my side
Pulling me to the top
when I'm down too deep
holding me
in His strong and mighty arms
if I'm weak or paddling frantically
There are no tides
too steep
no current
too swift
His sturdiness
is new every morning
and carries me through
My life vessel
My never-ending lifeline
Gracious Jesus,
