I was thinking as I walked this morning in the cool refreshing morning air, that it is the time more than any other part of my day that I feel God's presence everywhere.
I turn the corner and see the trees standing so straight like they're holding up the sky, and every blade of grass is pointing its slender finger up to heaven, to the God who lives on high.
I feel the touch of His hand in the sun against my cheek, feel His breath in the breeze gently blowing through my hair, and suddenly there is a hush all around me; all creation is in silent prayer.
After a reverent moment, the silence is broken, a bird flings notes of joy into the air, and the leaves rain down like little golden blessings that fall and stick in my hair.
My heart fills with joy to think that my Father gave me all this, to wonder at and give glory to Him above, for blessing me so richly, for this world so full of beauty, for all the things that surround me as tokens of His love.
And He gave me even more than these blessings, wondrous as they are, for He wanted me to have my dreams come true; so He sent me the greatest joy that I could have, the day that He sent me you.
Now I feel the touch of love when you hand caresses my face, and feel your fingers run through my hair, and hear the voice that gives such joy to my heart,
and I am filled with such gratitude and peace that we are together and never to part.
Each day we share the love that we've been given, this gift that grows more precious every day, and there will never be enough ways to show you how I love you, for it is far more than words could ever say.
I thank God each morning, for all the gifts and blessings He's given, when the day is still fresh and brand new, for the beauty around me, for all the joy that is mine, for the gift that He gave me in you.
