As Christians from time to time we forget the goodness of the Lord in and over our lives. We become distraught and distressed for a variety of reasons. God’s word is our assurance that no matter how bad things may seem, HE is ever present. Psalm 139 reminds us that we are never away from HIS presence.
If you are involved in ministry as a layperson or clergyman, you will have days when you need the “I AM” prescription.
If you forget who you are and have lost your self-esteem, speak to your heart and say “I AM a child of GOD and an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus” [Romans 8:16-17]
When your burdens seem to be heavier than usual, speak to your heart and say “I AM casting all my cares on Jesus” [1st Peter 5:7]
When your debts are piling up and your finances are low, speak to your heart and say “I AM getting all my needs met by Jesus [Philippians 4:19]
When sickness threatens to overtake you, speak to your heart and say “I AM healed by HIS stripes [1st Peter 2:24]
And when your enemies seem to triumph over you, speak to your heart and say “I AM more than a conqueror [Romans 8:37]
Know that in God’s word he provides us with comfort and security for our journey so always speak to your heart and say:
I AM strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might [Ephesians 6:10];
I AM blessed coming in and blessed going out [Deuteronomy 28:6];
I AM delivered from the powers of darkness [Colossians 1:13] and I AM blessing the Lord at all times [Psalm 34:1]
