I received a nice letter about the cute articles I write. The writer affirmed what our surveys have documented; my readers would rather read about one of my dogs, or articles referring to The Great Blonde.
I wanted to pander to the desires of my above average fans, and thus, hopefully produce revenue. I always live with this hope, but alas no article in memory, recent or long term has produced such results, so I write what I happen to think the Lord has put on my heart. By using the above reason, God gets the blame for my rantings.
I have an article that I copied from an email back in August and then made an egregious mistake by placing it on a stack of very important papers and but for a clumsy attempt at organizing my desk yet again, would have been lost.
The article is an excerpt from 'The River War' published in 1899 and written by an escaped convict who eventually made good. In his book Sir Winston Churchill said:
“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at ever step.”
The article by Sir Winston is much longer and more insightful to the problems now facing much of Western or Christian civilization. When you read the book you get the feeling that perhaps Churchill was himself a prophet. He predicted and espoused the current move toward Globalism, the euphemism for One World government which can only be imposed by bringing the West to its knees economically. In his history of the English Speaking People, Churchill identified the centuries long conspiracy for the imposing of a world wide ruler.
The Lillyesque solution to the current problems in France, Moslems burning the country down, is not for these pages as it would be a total departure from my nice mystique.
What I can and want to accomplish through this fuzzy, feel really good, piece is simple. I want to cause you to think of the ageless truth of the Bible, not only how it applies to the formation of a magnum world power which is prophesied to be against God and His Christ, but to ask yourself about your response to the pull of the negative world power on a personal basis?
Do you really trust Christ? Do you really proclaim Christ as the true hope of the world, the hope of men and women who long for spiritual freedom to live life to its fullest? Remember, Jesus said that He is come that we might have more abundant life.
