a simple reminder on compromise

Compromise, what seems to be a simple word, a word that says I am open to your thoughts and way of doing things. A word that while it may make some feel like our opinion matters, it is a word, that will ultimately bring death to the children of GOD.

Luk 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Luk 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luk 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Luk 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Walking in a relationship with GOD through our risen KING, is not like having a spouse in the worlds view. We can not sit down with GOD and say I know you said this but I think this, so let us go by what I think this time.

In Mal 3:6 it says I am the LORD, I change not.

As a Christian our hearts, and our minds should be set on pleasing our FATHER in heaven, that while we may have sin that is part of our lives, our heart must be willing to seek GOD and HIS strength, to seek GOD and HIS abilities to overcome all things. We must not be one that allows compromise into our hearts, and try to justify our sin by our freedom in CHRIST. We must even hate the things that we have done and still do, loving the very thing that GOD would have us do instead. Searching out HIS ways and being willing to be the clay in the MASTER POTTERS hands becoming what it is and doing what it is that is ordained by GOD.

The WORD of GOD says

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

This grace that we are saved by, is not only GODS favor, it is HIS divine influence upon our hearts and its reflection in our lives. Granting us the privilege as believers in CHRIST JESUS to become more and more like HIM everyday, granting us a willing heart that is empowered by HIS SPIRIT to overcome the world and set our sites on the things of heaven. Compromise changes what GOD has intended.

Sometimes in our human logic, we search and search the scriptures, we come up with what is acceptable and what is comfortable in our lives, then we stop there because it feels good. When we should be determined if something makes total sense and feels so good to our mindset, that there must be much more to it that we are missing. Our contentment sometimes is the purpose of our compromise.

Psa 4:2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
Psa 4:3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
Psa 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

From H3576; falsehood; literally (untruth) or figuratively (idol): - deceitful, false, leasing, + liar, lie, lying.

A compromise brings about our leasing, while not our purpose compromise allows not the complete truth to take root in us, bringing about our transforming the good and incorruptible WORD of GOD, into something that feels good, and that the world will accept.

Minds of man will not accept the things of GOD, man will always allow compromise into our thoughts and way of life. This is why we are told to renew our minds and to walk in the SPIRIT.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Dear GOD, we come to YOU today knowing that we fail YOU, knowing that YOUR standards and will are just and right. FATHER we ask YOU in the name above all names that YOU grant us a willing heart to seek YOU and only YOU, that we be not transformed by the world but we be renewed in YOUR knowledge, wisdom and understanding on all matters that pertain to us. LORD we humbly admit that we are sinners, grant unto us the empowerment and the abilities to be used of YOU to bring about YOUR standards in our family, in our communities and in this world dear GOD. Only YOUR way is good, only YOUR way should be upon our heart, grant us YOUR own heart as our own dear GOD, Thank you we praise YOU on high and may YOUR kingdom be established on YOUR principles and not on the thoughts of man. AMEN.
