The very human nature
that blesses me
into your
Eternal grace
plagues me
with emotion
and desire unfit
to stand before
You

I beat
at my chest
and cry out
to be different
yet I am
painstakingly
mortal
filthy
and course edged
hardened
and confusing

I long to have
Your love
wash over
the gloom
and darkness
that has fallen
upon my heart

I pray
that you
take away
my yearning

may I seek peace
and contentment
in you, Father
and find
pleasant answers
amongst
Your mighty arms
of grace
and forgiveness

For I am weak
I am hurting
but
I
am not
alone

For I am weak I am hurting but I am not alone . Amen! You aren't alone. God stands beside you, arms wrapped around you, whispering His love into your heart. How beautifully you've described my heart, every heart ... and the longing to be more like Him.
