The sac is broken and a baby is born
A beautiful bundle this world to adorn
Hearty cries, great mirth, a home animated,
Creation celebrates the new life created.
Baby sounds, pattering feet, frame growing a mile a minute,
Home's laughter and warmth reflects the joy and life in it.
The pride and the joy of both Father and Mother,
What beauty! What brains! - A child like no other!
Daddy wrapped all around baby's little finger,
A cozy excuse at bedtime to linger.
Wide-eyed with awe, sleep far from appearing,
Big hugs and sweet kisses convey tender love and caring.
The wonder and amazement of that little one
Could never out-sparkle the brilliance of the sun
No money, no status, no career can replace,
That glorious, marvelous gift of God's grace!
