Journey In His Presence
Journey in His presence….what a wonderful place to be, His Presence. Such freedom! It's so big and so filled with peace and beauty. Come with me and I’ll take you for a Journey in His Presence:
“Lord, this is a beautiful day. Thank You for creating it just for me.”
He gently took my hand. “You are welcome, Child. Let’s walk. I want to tell you of My love.” We were transferred in an instant to a beautiful mountainside, where we sat on the lush green grass of the valley. The yellow and red flowers were perked and ready for the morning sun. In the distance, at the bottom of the mountain, we could see nature at its best - God’s little creatures scurrying for their morning breakfast.
“Lord, this is beautiful, thank You for bringing me here. I love taking trips with You!” I looked around in awe at the splendor laid before me.
“Let’s walk. I have been watching you and listening to you. My heart has been broken.” Jesus’ compassion encompassed me.
Guilty as charged. I felt the guilt as if it were written all across my forehead. I stopped dead in my tracks and bowed my head. I couldn’t bear to look at Him. I dropped to my knees, “Please, Lord, forgive me. I don’t ever want to hurt You. I love You.” Tears ran down my face.
“I forgive you, child. I forgave you at the cross. I love you more than you can comprehend.” Jesus said.
Reaching down to capture each tear that fell from my eyes, the Lord knelt down in front of me with one hand on my shoulder, the other hand catching the tears as they streamed down my face. His eyes piercing my face with kindness, I couldn’t look at Him. My heart was breaking in two, and I couldn’t take the pain. Then, the Lord took His hand and touched my heart and the pain stopped.
I looked up at Him and the tears stopped. He pulled me close to Him and held me as a father comforting a wounded child. I went limp in His arms and just let Him hold me. I felt safe and secure.
Jesus stroked my hair, “I have always loved you. Experience My presence. This is where I want you to live, with Me. It is from here, you will gain strength, healing and direction for your path forward. When you have weeks, days and even minutes like you have had this week, please do as I have taught you, find a quiet place to slip away and pray. It is the only way to true knowledge and peace. Remember, I am with you always.”
I snuggled against His chest and let His healing complete me. My very favorite place to be….in His loving arms….forgiven…healed.
Just as Jesus paid a price for our healing, we have to pay the price to keep it. The price is at the Cross. We have to get into God’s presence to receive His forgiveness and healing. It is the only place where we can receive it. For some reason, I kid myself into thinking that I’m ok and I don’t need Him. I sit on the sideline and watch others enter in. I won’t allow myself to fully enter in. But, when I enter in and receive His complete forgiveness, there is no healing, no joy, no peace that can compare to being in His presence. I know there is a painful part that I must endure to get to the good stuff God has for me, but it’s a good pain, healing pain. Journey in His Presence comes with a price, but a very small price for the prize.
Will you pay it? Will you come along? Will you JOURNEY IN HIS PRESENCE?

Sunday I asked the Lord what book he wanted me to read. He showed me "Practicing His Presence". I have for 2 days been trying to remember him throughout the day and say something like "Lord I need you." "Heal me." "I want to know you more." He is catching my attention throughout the day and I am brought back into his warmth. Starting the day getting in tune and being pulled back through the moments is a wonderful experience.
There is no other place, safe, to journey, save in His Presence. To know the forgiveness of His love is a journey into His very heart. May we come to know it well, as we come to know Him best.
Thank you for posting this journey. This is exactly what I needed today. Blessings
