A vision of God’s creation,
Formed seventeen years ago…
One of my greatest blessings,
God’s gift of my son - named “Joe”…
I’ll forever remember that feeling,
“Shared joy” in your mother and me…
Today - a true understanding,
The potential God allows me to see…
Although in life’s game,
Momentary troubles cause us to part…
God’s blessed me with his love,
With that – I’ll never lose heart…
Although sometimes outwardly,
We appear to be wasting away…
God allows for new beginnings,
Merely renewed – Day by Day…
I’ll always cherish the memories,
Special gratitude for time had…
An appreciation of God’s blessing,
His selecting me in the role of your dad…
I pray you recognize your qualities,
Permit them to continually grow…
Allow yourself the freedom of good choice,
Accomplish limits – you deserve to know…
On this special day as I speak from my heart,
May this meaning continue to grow…
