Praying It Safe

Lord, we really do believe
Everything You say
Yet, often, we stop short
When we seek help and pray.

We timidly approach You
And mutter our requests
But, it seems that we're afraid
To put You to the test.

You've taught us about miracles
And we know that they are true.
Still, we hesitate to asků
We should be trusting You.

Somehow, we don't feel worthy
So, we alter our requests.
But these modified petitions
Won't let You give us Your best.

If we want to see Your power,
The Word tells us what to do.
'Praying it safe' is not the answer -
We must believe You through and through.

If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we Know that he hears us - whatever we ask --we know that we have what we asked of him." (I Jn. 5:14,14 NIV) Great inspirational poem!

Your pen has taught us to, in bold humility, approach the Father of Everything, and ask anything, knowing our Savior, Jesus paid it ALL. My love, wrapped inside His, Nancy

So true!

You expressed the importance of praying with faith, and not just "praying it safe" in this beautifully written poem. When we pray, we need to trust that God hears us and He already knows what we want before we even ask Him. I'm guilty at times of praying for prayer's sake, so I guess my prayer should be, "Lord, please help me pray wholeheartedly knowing You are the God I can trust." Thanks for this reminder, Sis. You're a blessing to me. Love, Gloria

Powerful anointed beautiful poetry. Amen, we are called to go before the Throne of Grace boldly. Not in our strength but in the Righteousness of Christ Jesus! Excellent reminder,I know that God can perform a miracle if it is an accordance to His will. And right now I'm praying for a few for our family and Loved ones. God always knows what is best for His Children and gives us the very best in His perfect timing. Thanks precious Sister you are always a blessing and an Encourager to my heart! With Jesus Love, Your Sister Dee:) "Numbers 6:24,25,26,"

I love this Peggy, Your title says it beautifully. I love what you wrote here: ("Somehow, we don't feel worthy So, we alter our requests. But these modified petitions Won't let You give us Your best.") Yes, it takes a little more courage to come boldly before the throne, but that's what we must do, to obtain the help that we need. Excellent job! Love, Sharon
