The year is 186 A.P., one hundred and eighty-six years after the government, United Universe, gained power and claimed “peace”. Space stations have been built on planets throughout the universe and interplanetary power is common and relatively fast and easy.
All religions are outlawed, except for Universalism, a religion of tolerance and personal idolatry, emphasizing the spirit within each person and within each plant and animal. Parents are discouraged from having more than one child and they are allowed little influence over that child.
The story zooms in on one planet and one small group of people from Earth. Commander Randstat has been put in charge of Group T19, four people who are sent on a mission to White Planet 8069. Their assignment? To uncover the illegal activities that are suspected on White Planet.
The activities on White Planet are indeed illegal. But Group T19 is unprepared for the nature of these activities. Will they win the fight for the UG? Or will they themselves be swept into the lives of the White Planet residents?
Assignment to White Planet 8069 is a fast paced, unique book-in-the-making. It is being written by ten Christian authors. We gather once a week in a private cat room to “act” out the scenes, ad lib, as well as exchanging emails and having private sessions throughout each week.
If you’d like to follow the story, check it out here: http://www.faithwriters.com/member-profile.php?id=15013
at the Faith Writers’ Chat-A-Book page. I play characters Commander Randstat, Meinta, the governor, and occasionally fill in for others as needed.
